World Book Day 2020

Yet again our pupils, staff and parents have come up trumps for our celebration of all things Bookish!  Mrs Ford and her colleagues in the English department prepared a number of pupils to read their own work - poetry and prose - to a packed assembly on 6th March.  The English staff also read the results of a 'Story Relay' written, a part at a time, by the children from youngest to oldest.  This story shown to the children as a PowerPoint slide show is available as a PDF  for viewing here...

Many visiting parents were able to enjoy a wide range of pupils' own work, and to see the huge amount of effort put in by staff and pupils in to their costumes.  There was even a brief musical interlude with suitably spooky music composed by P6 children to accompany a reading of a part of the play 'Macbeth'.

There are lots of pictures in the gallery below, and here is a link to the Macbeth accompaniment.
