RNLI and Water Safety
Mr Phil Rankmore, a local representative of the RNLI, came to visit the school to hear about our recent fund-raising and to present an assembly.
He talked about the work of the RNLI around the coast and inland waterways of the UK, and also highlighted the importance of safety on the beach. He showed the children the uniform and flags used on beaches which are manned by lifeguards, and warned us all to be wary of the particularly gentle beaches where the tide rushes in faster than normal walking speed!
Thanks to the recent 'Big Breakfast' we collected £580 for this amazing cause.
The Powerpoint presentation which Phil used is available for download here...
