Just before half-term, the Chapel Choir visited the London Charterhouse again to sing Vespers, a service of Evening Prayer used throughout numerous Christian denominations. The Charterhouse has a fascinating history and is currently a home for retired professional men, many of them ordained priests. The medieval chapel is absolutely beautiful, and the whole building is now open to the public with a museum and visitors’ centre. It is definitely worth a visit.
This was probably our tenth occasion of singing there and our visits are always much appreciated. It was a pleasure to welcome a number of QHS families to the service; these pictures give an idea of the afternoon we spent there.
Our Podcast site has excerpts of the service for you to download and listen to at your leisure.
